Welcome to Year 12
The Year 12 tutorial programme is designed to support students in making the successful transition from GCSE to A Level. Many can often find the challenges of increasingly independent study difficult to adjust to, so our knowledgeable and experienced tutor team aim to support students in making that adjustment. As well as offering advice and guidance on independent study skills, careers planning and higher education applications, sixth form group tutors meet with individuals on a termly basis for a formal review in order to monitor and track academic progress.
Throughout the year we actively encourage our students to participate in work shadowing and a variety of other extra-curricular experiences including university taster days and open days so that students can make informed choices about their options post-18. In addition, all Year 12 students are involved in Sixth Form Support in which they act as positive role models for students in the lower school.
