The Hayfield School is a successful high-achieving 11-18 school with approximately 1100 students. Last year 82% of our students gained 5+ A*-C grades including English and Mathematics which places us comfortably in the top 10% of all schools.
For September 2012 we are seeking to appoint an exceptional person to lead our Faculty of Science. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and a clear focus on the achievement of young people. They will be dynamic, innovative and be positive champions of change. Applications from those with the ability to teach either Physics or Chemistry to A level standard would be advantageous but not essential.
The faculty currently offers core additional and triple science (AQA) and in addition to this also runs BTEC science. The faculty is very well resourced and is supported by three dedicated technicians.
This is a rare and unique opportunity for the right individual to release the potential of the team and to transform the faculty as a whole.
